Directions
- Simmer the Brats
In a deep skillet, melt butter and sauté onions until golden. Add beer, BBQ sauce, and brats. Simmer for 20 minutes, covered.
- Grill and Finish
Remove brats and grill over medium heat for 5–6 minutes, turning to get a nice char.
- Serve
Toast buns, then place a brat in each, topping with beer-braised onions and extra BBQ sauce. Add sauerkraut or mustard if desired.
