Directions
- Prep the Sardines
Rinse and pat dry sardines. Drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Make the Gremolata
In a bowl, mix garlic, parsley, lemon zest, lemon juice, and capers if using. Set aside.
- Grill the Sardines
Preheat grill or flat griddle over medium heat. Grill sardines skin-side down for 3 minutes, then flip and cook 2 more minutes.
- Serve and Enjoy
Plate with a spoonful of gremolata on top. Serve with crusty bread and grilled lemon. A rustic, punchy seafood classic.
